The universe supports us, it's up to us to use it wisely.
The universe supports us: isn't that just another anthropocentric turn? It is, but this question invites a deeper enquiry. We have free will. We have a choice in how we create the world we live in.
The universe supports us: isn't that just another anthropocentric turn?
One of my readers recently raised this question – an important one. The idea of a universe ready to support humans could be one step further towards the idea that we humans rule everything. And yes, in a certain way, it is. But it's different, as the reader suggested: it is part of human hybridism and the crises we have to face. The only way to overcome this is to understand the principles upon which the universe is built and to use them wisely. Not using it isn't possible.

Like every consciousness, ours is an instrument for creating reality. It does this whether we like it or not. The universe, the infinite intelligence in which we are embedded, responds to whatever a consciousness holds as truth, as reality, as a mental model. Yours is a vengeful god? You will meet him. Humans are of no importance? Welcome to this experience. Humans are here to control nature? You will create this world. And you will learn to know the consequences of this world. This communication between consciousness and the universe works individually and globally. In fact, our consciousness is not the only one that shapes our world. What makes human consciousness so dominant is its complexity and range compared to other consciousnesses.
The maturity of our consciousness entails something very unique: free will. We can choose how to use our consciousness, and this includes the possibility of working against our own needs and nature, or even against nature altogether. A universe at our proposal is anthropocentric, because we use our consciousness in an ego-driven, anthropocentric way. We are facing the results: we are confronted with what living in a world created by ego-driven humans means. And we will continue to do this as long as we stay on this path.
But we can be different. If we raise ourselves to our potential, we will step out of this world and create a different one, one that aligns with nature. That's the choice we have. And the universe will respond to it.
