How to use the power of our consciousness wisely
Our consciousness is a powerful instrument. It creates our world and the universe is ready to assist. So how can we use this given power wisely? Inner freedom and integrity are the keys to a lifelong
Whatever we want to create, whatever dream we carry in our heart, the universe supports us.
The question is not whether we deserve this support or have the right to use it; the only question is how we can use this power wisely.
I The foundation: our consciousness and its relationship to the universe
Our consciousness is the key. It plays a central role and serves as an intermediary between ourselves and the infinite intelligence in which we are embedded. Everything our consciousness holds is created for us by the infinite intelligence, producing the world as we experience it. This understanding is important, as we often experience a gap between our desires and reality: we might desperately wish for something special (like nourishing love in our lives, a different society, or a healed nature), but we may hold something entirely different in our consciousness. And that’s what ultimately matters. This disparity may stem from our upbringing, the culture we adapted to, the values and beliefs we adopted as a life strategy, or from our fragmented and unaligned existence. All of this can occupy our inner space if we do not take care of it consciously. That’s why the way the universe works and supports us is directly linked to two specific qualities of our consciousness: our inner freedom and our integrity.
What does inner freedom mean?
We constantly act and respond to what we experience, perceive, and think about. There’s a stimulus, and then there is a response; we can understand inner freedom as the space between those two. The greater this space is, the greater our ability to choose our actions and maintain a calm and relaxed presence, even in challenging moments. As Viktor Frankl said:
Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

What does integrity mean?
We are unique and we are meant to express our uniqueness, sharing our abilities, talents, dreams, ideas, and values with the world. This is not the uniqueness our ego tells us about, but the qualities that our true self carries with us through our lives. Living a life of integrity means being aligned and guided by our true self. Living a fragmented life simply means being misaligned with who we are.
Take a moment to listen to your inner voice. You will realize what you truly carry inside yourself. If you allow yourself to be driven by old patterns and limiting beliefs, that’s what your consciousness will hold. If you pursue a false idea of yourself, that’s what your consciousness will uphold. And that’s how life will unfold.
II Consciousness is mind-body and body-mind
We exist as humans with a physical body, and our consciousness is inseparably connected to this body. Consciousness is always body-mind and mind-body. Our body gives form to consciousness in two ways. Only through our body can consciousness realize itself, become aware of itself, and act. Our body shapes consciousness through our ego, experiences, family beliefs, and the paradigms we hold. All of this is woven into our consciousness, either empowering or diminishing its presence and quality, and influences our body, shaping our movements and physical presence. Are you feeling light and grounded, or heavy and distracted? Your body can reveal a lot about your state of mind.
III The garden of our life
Having inner freedom or living a life of integrity is not a one-time job. Bringing our consciousness to its full potential is an ongoing work throughout our lives. Think of it as gardening yourself, with the seasons, rhythms, and richness that garden work brings.
We do this by constantly widening the space between stimulus and response and enlarging our inner freedom. We loosen the grip our ego has on us. We heal ourselves by integrating all those aspects we used to abolish, ignore, or suppress, and by rejoicing and revitalizing. We uncover our true selves by finding the purpose of our lives and understanding what the cosmos has planned for us.
IV Either/or
It's either fear or love, lack or abundance. Most of us live in a world of fear, lack, ignorance, fragmentation, and separation. Creating a world where humanity can live in accordance with nature means finding the way into a world of love and abundance. It’s a world where we realize the power of being interconnected with every living being. This journey has a gift to offer: a life rich in love, quality, and liveliness. It’s worth every step!
